The price for boat rentals on Lake Norman varies by type of boat, day of the week, and other factors.
Our pricing of a Lake Norman Boat Rental with driver (in our case Coast Guard Licensed Captain) is typically based upon the quality and maintenance of the boats and equipment, experience level of captains, and of course overall experience you ultimately receive.
As a fully insured, permitted, and licensed commercial boat charter on Lake Norman with new luxury boats and a worry free all-inclusive experience, we make it our priority to deliver the best value for your money, or as we like to say: make it your best lake day!
With that being said, boat rental pricing with driver included will mainly depend on the length of the charter and begins at $249. The best way to see what your experience will cost is by checking our online booking calendar or calling us at 704-850-5727.

No, we handle all fuel costs. In fact, our pricing is all-inclusive so the only extras would be if you chose add-on options such as watersports. Just don’t forget to tip your captain!

Luckily for you, we provided Captains who hold Merchant Mariner Master Level Credentials through the United State Coast Guard. So in our case, no, you don’t need a boating license! Even if you’re an avid boater, you’ll appreciate having a captain so you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the time engaging with your favorite people.

Most likely! The best way to find out is to provide the address on our online booking form or over the phone for a custom quote. One of our captains will verify distance, scheduling and availability, necessary water depth, and other considerations (cleaning, prep, refueling, etc.) so we can ensure your experience is the best possible. Sometimes, we can even include this in the charter price so ask for more details!

POSITIVITY! We want you to have the most fun possible. In order to do so, don’t forget:
- Sunscreen (please, no aerosols!)
- Ice, Water and Drinks for The cooler (also available for purchase at marina ships store)
- Your Favorite Boat Friendly Snacks/Beverages And Cups/Plasticware/Utensils If Needed on the Pontoons (please, no hard liquor per LNMC policies!)
- Towels (also available for purchase at marina ships store)
- Attire For Cooler Temperature Rides Or Windy Days
- Sunglasses
- A Change Of Clothes (if desired – our marina also offers on site showers!
- Cash Or Credit Cards (for lakeside dining, drinks, and/or gratuities)
- Phone Charging Cables
- Signed Waivers (please, ensure everyone from your party has completed our waiver prior to departure!)

• Please refrain snacks that may leave crumbs, messed, or residue behind including drinks with dyes that could stain if spilled (Think red sports drinks and red wine).
• Heeled Shoes – Flip flops/flat soled shoes are acceptable on Tritoon Boats. On the Wakeboard/Wakesurf Boats we have a spot for your shoes to be left safely at the dock or a spot in the boat incase you visit a waterfront restaurant/bar.
• Coolers – Don’t worry, we have Polar Bear Coolers onboard for you to use! We don’t have anywhere to store your coolers if you arrive with one and don’t have a car at the marina to leave it in (ie. use ride share).
• Too much “stuff” or too any bags – This may sound funny but remember there’s limited space on boats and our storage is taken up for all the essentials both for safety and fun! As the number of people onboard with you rises, please consolidate non-essential belongings so you can move about the boat freely without hazard.
• Aerosol Sunscreens – Please bring lotion sunscreen and apply prior to boarding.
•. Clear/Metallic Inflatables and/or Floats – These will cause significant damage to our vessels and equipment acting like a magnifying glass in the sun.
• Cigarettes/Cigars – There’s no smoking allowed on our vessels but if you smoke, we can coordinate stops to accommodate off of the vessel.
• Illegal Substances – As a reminder, Lake Norman Marine Commission doesn’t permit hard alcohol onboard. Beer, (white) wine, seltzers, etc. are all acceptable for those of legal consumption age.
• Additional Vehicles – Please utilize ride sharing services if you’ll be consuming alcohol and carpool to follow parking policies as outlined in your confirmation email. -
Yes (on our pontoons boats)! Our pontoon boats have tables to consume food while we’re on the lake both on and off the vessel (think, islands). Make sure to bring anything else you may need to accompany eating such as cups, plates, napkins, and utensils. We also have catering partners or can bring your group to a waterfront restaurant or bar if interested!
If on the wakeboard/wakesurf boat, please only bring boat friendly snacks and drinks. Think about something you’d eat in bed and wouldn’t want to make a mess of.. grapes/fruit, wraps, trail mix, granola bars, etc. as opposed to items with dyes that could stain, Cheetos, chips, pretzels, messy sandwiches and/or other crunchy snacks that tend to leave crumbs everywhere. Please refrain from drinks with dyes that could stain if spilled (Think red sports drinks and wine).

There is not a bathroom onboard our boats. Your captain will certainly take you to the closest facilities when desired and of course there are facilities at the marina.

Once you book, it’s up to you who you invite! We’ll never invite another group of strangers onto the same boat as you.
**selling “tickets” to our charters is strictly forbidden and any doing so will terminate the charter immediately with forfeiture of all money paid**

Our luxury boats aren’t designed for fishing. Therefore, we don’t allow fishing on our vessels to prevent possible accidental damages. We’re happy to recommend others on the lake that are fishing experts!

- All passengers must sign a liability waiver prior to departure. If under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must sign.
- At least one adult 18+ years old must book the trip and be present for the entire length of the charter.
- All passengers under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket while the boat is in motion.
- All passengers who cannot swim are not permitted to participate in watersports and must always wear a life jacket.
- No Smoking Onboard– if you smoke, we can arrange to make stops as needed. Electronic Cigarettes & Vapes are permitted only with legal substances.
- Please wear flats or boat appropriate shoes without pointed soles that could cause damage.
- No pets.
- BYOB Food & Drinks – but no red liquids (including red wine) and no Cheetos or similar artificially dyed foods that may cause stains impossible to remove.
- Alcohol is allowed (in moderation) for those legally permitted to consume however is limited to beer, cider, champagne, or (non-red) wine. Hard alcohol, liquor, and mixed drinks are not permitted per Lake Norman Marine Commission policies.
- Please, no aerosol sunscreens (lotion sunscreen is fine).
- It’s our goal to include picture and video highlighting your experience on social media, please let us know if you wouldn’t like this shared.
- The company reserves the right to charge additional clean up fees for significant mess and/or smell – usually bodily fluids like vomit, urine, or extensive sticky/staining messes and any damages incurred.

Booking Policies:
Full payment is due at time of booking your charter. This allows us to secure your captain, crew, and prep our vessels for your booking. In the event you need to cancel or change your reservation, we can offer the following:
- 30+ days (>720 hours) prior to booking start time – Option to rebook or 100% refund or credit.
- Between 14 – 30 days (>336 – 720 hours) prior to booking start time – Option to rebook or 90% refund or credit.
**no rebooking once less than 14 days or 336 hours prior**
- Between 7 – 14 days (>168 – 336 hours) prior to booking start – 80% refund or credit.
- Between 3 – 7 days (>72 – 168 hours) prior to booking start – 60% refund or credit.
- 3 days (>72 hours) or less prior to booking start: Unfortunately, there will be no refunds or changes to the reservation at this point unless our Captain must cancel. If your Captain must cancel (inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances), you will be contacted and issued 100% gift card credit or option to reschedule as soon as possible.
Holiday Policy
Holiday dates are not refundable or changeable once booked unless your captain must cancel at which point you will be contacted and issued a 100% refund, credit, or option to reschedule as soon as possible.

Best Choice: Purchase your customized Weather Guarantee to protect your lake day incase Mother Nature has other plans for your day. Our 3rd party partner will reimburse you directly and automatically, and the best part is with no claims or hassle. The program checks the forecast daily and you’ll be notified to accept reimbursement via text message should qualifying inclement weather be in the forecast at the beginning of your reservation start time. Full details are available via email after you book your charter directly through our website or over the phone. If you book multiple boats, you’ll receive multiple customized offer emails.
If you choose not to purchase the Weather Guarantee, we operate rain or shine and do not cancel due to weather forecasts, since we all know forecasts are far from reliable. This is why we’ve teamed up with our 3rd party partner to offer weather protection! Our recommendation is if you don’t purchase weather protection to plan to attend the charter unless you hear from your captain the day of deeming otherwise… the rain can make for some great memories.
If you don’t show up after 30 minutes past the start time of your booking and haven’t heard from your captain, the trip will be considered a no-show and no refunds or credits will be issued.
If inclement weather occurs that prevents your charter, you’ll hear from your captain on the day of once we can make an accurate weather determination. You may choose a gift card credit for another time during the current season or option to reschedule for another day during the current season. Another benefit to the Weather Guarantee is you get a cash reimbursement up to your full amount paid while we only offer gift card credits for the current season due to inclement weather if the Weather Guarantee is not purchased.
If inclement weather forces the charter to begin or end earlier than scheduled (and you haven’t purchased a Weather Guarantee) and you don’t receive your fully scheduled charter time, you’ll be offered a gift card credit equal to the base hourly rate you booked at for the remaining unused time towards a future booking for the remainder of the current season. This only applies to inclement weather deemed unsafe by your captain and our crew. -
Once you book with us, you’ll receive an email (or emails for multiple bookings/boats) with all the details for your weather guarantee offer based on the date and time of your charter(s). You’ll be eligible for reimbursement up to the total ticket cost (less any booking fees/taxes) when the official NOAA day-of forecast says it will rain for 1 or more hours during your reservation.

Contact us! Communication is key, no one likes being ghosted.
- If your party does not arrive within 30 minutes of your scheduled booking start time and we haven’t heard from you and you haven’t heard from your captain, it will be deemed a no-show and no refunds or credits will be issued.
- If part of your party has arrived within 30 minutes of the scheduled time and confirmed their presence with the captain on site, your captain will wait for the remaining guests to arrive. The reservation end time will not change.

Ask your captain! In the instance that you’d like to extend your booking and our schedule allows, the hourly rate will be charged to your card on file based upon the base hourly rate of your booking. All extensions will be charged based upon the closest 1/2 hour when arriving back to the dock.
